At Airsorted, we believe that home-sharing is a force for good. It creates authentic and unique experiences for guests; and for hosts, the extra income enables them to do more of what they want. The problem is that for many homeowners, who don’t have the time or the expertise, homesharing is not accessible.
Airsorted’s mission is to build a global platform that makes it easy to share your home.
About the role
We’re building Airsorted using Python 3, React, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL and Redis. Our team is made up of world class developers from Google, GoSquared and others. Working with other talented people is very important to us.
We care about agile principles and use good practices from Scrum and Kanban, but are not married to any single methodology. Code reviews and regular meetups help us create and keep a culture of quality and collaboration and every change we make has to pass continuous integration. Thanks to these practices - we have enough confidence in our code to run continuous deployment. This means we can move quickly and respond to change without sacrificing quality.
As we close in on our Series A, we are hiring more great people into our team. We want people who thrive in a startup environment. It is important you naturally take ownership over your work, but want to contribute to the overall success of the business.
We are looking for developers who love getting involved in the full stack. Experience with Python, Ruby, React, SQL and AWS are all plus points. But if you are a good developer with a knack for solving problems and puzzles, we believe the specific technology/tool you use is less important than your core set of skills.
When we asked everyone in the tech team why they decided to join Airsorted, their answers typically fell into 2 categories - People or Practices.
Great people want to work with great people. We are always learning from each other. We are a social team and believe our diverse set of skills and personalities make our team better. We meet up regularly - from board game nights, to pub nights and team outings.
Agile principles and good practices drive our development standards. Above all, they make sure our code quality is continually high and that we learn every day.
- Good Salaries. We are well funded, our employees should be too.
- Stock Options. When we make it big, so do you.
- £300 of Airbnb credit per year.
